Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Working as a therapist for over 10 years has provided me with a variety of experiences, perspectives and approaches to being successful with clients. Trust, empathy and validation are the most important concepts when working with clients and I work hard to develop them. My experience includes working with a variety of challenges and issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, behavioral disorders and individuals with Autism. I specialize in working with children, adolescents and young adults. I have also been a school social worker for over 10 years so I am well versed in school supports, accommodations, and special education services/processes.
I believe in a systems approach as many factors can influence progress during therapy. Other therapeutic approaches that I use are incorporating movement and exercise as well as mindfulness techniques. I also use Social Thinking strategies for individuals with Autism. My goal is to have individuals feel validated, empowered and successful. I hope to make a difference for each person that I work with.
