Therapy can seem like an intimidating step in your process of self-exploration. This is a common feeling and can keep you from your personal journey. As a therapist I provide a casual, non-judgmental setting to support your process. I use a variety of treatment approaches which will be tailored to your specific needs. Your experience is unique to you, and therefore your treatment will be as well.
I will provide support and feedback to guide you through genuine self-discovery so that you may improve your self-awareness and relationships.
When relationships are the focus of treatment, as in couple or family therapy, we spend time identifying individual needs in the relationship and then treat the relationship as the client. This eliminates any concern of “taking sides” or accommodating one individual over another. We will practice effective communication while developing additional skills for improved interpersonal connection.
I have several years of experience working with a variety of populations and age ranges. I have practiced in community mental health settings with those experiencing acute crisis, substance use concerns, as well as individuals referred by the court system.
My areas of interest include but is not limited to:
-Chronic mental illness
